Setting up adsense is relatively easy, but unlocking the true earning potential of is an entirely different story. Learn how to maximize the adsense revenue of your website or blog.

More and more webmasters are starting to see the revenue potential of adding adsense ads to their website. Using adsense, web masters can have instant ’set it and forget it’ marketing. All the work that is required is for the user to copy the code into their website or blog and adsense will automatically scan each page for its content. Then, adsense will display targetted ads based on what each page is about. Depending on what keywords appear in the ads, the webmaster will get a certain amount of money for each click.

However, generating revenue with adsense requires a bit of work.

The first thing thats important for earning adsense revenue is of course traffic. Without traffic - no one is seeing your adsense ads. If no one sees your adsense ads - you will get no clicks. If you get no clicks - you become one sad internet marketer when the money doesn’t come in. So make sure you are constantly trying to find ways to drive targetted traffic to your website.

If you have a blog, a good way to get traffic to your website is through articles and social bookmarking. Through keyword research you can find some good long-tail keywords that relate to what your blog is about and write articles about them. In the resource box of the article, let the readers know there is more great information to be found at your blog. Also, after submitting your article, you can bookmark it to increase the popularity of the article and to possibly generate some direct traffic.

Once the visitor gets to your page, you have an entirely different task. Your goal now is to keep the reader interested and engaged in your website. You can accomplish this through the website design and navigation. Whenever you post a link, don’t just post something such as ‘click here’. You want to make your anchor text for links as descriptive as possible to grab the reader’s attention. If the link is on the main page, try to make it fit naturally in with the text. Usually, your link can fit perfectly in a couple of the words of the sentence that leads to it. Be creative.

Ideally, you want the visitor to read as much content on your website as possible. This is why you want to link related posts/topics from each page you post. This way if the visitor is interested in finding out more about what they read, they can easily find other things you have written that deal with the same issue or a related issue.

The next thing you want to keep in mind is the keywords you use for each page. Research which keywords pay more than other keywords. Then you can go through and create new posts dealing with the topic of these keywords, or add them to your exsisting posts. Maximizing your adsense revenue is all about knowing which keywords work the best with your category, so you should be constantly researching and testing different combinations of keywords. Keep what works, and make changes to what doesn’t. If you have a website with a lot of good content, a few keyword changes can bring in loads of extra revenue.

Affiliate marketing allows for a quick and easy way for any online marketer to make money quickly and easily. However, there are a few important facts you need to know before you begin...

There is great potential for anyone wanting to get their feet wet and make money online in affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing allows you to partner up with another company offering a product or service and recieve commission for helping them recieve sales. This works out well for many looking to start earning revenue right away because they don’t have to deal with inventory or completing the sale. Sounds easy, right? Almost. More often than not, this process is over-simplified and people simply are acting on the concept alone before learning the proper foundation of affiliate marketing. I have outline three affiliate marketing tips below that should have you well on your way to success.

Before you begin your affiliate marketing campaign, keep in mind:

1. Develop your landing page.

You want to have a page that is going to collect all of the traffic you are going to be recieving. This has many advantages. First, if the affiliate offer you are apart of is ever discontinued or you want to find a different product to promote in the same niche - you can easily change the landing page that you directed your traffic to. This is alot easier than going back to every place you posted your affiliate link and updating it. Also, not everywhere you can market online will allow affiliate links. Some articles sites such as Ezine Articles will only let you link to a website that you own. This is good though, bringing them to a landing page first will allow you to give a review on the product, provide information the product owner might have missed, as well as developing traffic and building backlinks for your domain.

This is probably the most important tip, I cannot stress it enough. Make sure the landing page is enticing and draws the visitor in. If your writing lacks - outsource the work. You want to increase the chances the visitor is going to click through to the publishers page and purchase the product.

2. Select a great product.

Do you believe the product you are promoting is a good product? No? Then you should not be promoting it. You want to select a product that you personally use or feel strongly about it. This will show in your writing and in your promotion of the product. Don’t just go for the product that is going to give you the highest commission, the product might not even be good and then both you and the publishers reputation will decline.

Also, if you don’t select the right product - you may not get any sales in the first place. How does the publishers landing page look? Do they give enough information on the product? Are they overcharging for what the product is worth? You want to find a product that is WORTH your visitor’s money. Otherwise you are wasting both yours and their time. Research the product before you decide to promote it. Find out how successful other affiliates who are promoting the product are doing. Find out what users are saying about it after they use the product. These are all key factors to your success.

3. Drive targetted traffic.

What are the people coming to your landing page interested in? If someone is looking to buy a winter coat and they wind up on your landing page about bikinis do you think you are likely to get a sale? You have to make sure you are promoting your product to an audience not only interested in the product - but willing to spend money in order to obtain it. This is why you have to pay close attention to where you promote your product. If its at an article site - make sure it’s in the right section. Check the title of your article and then check the content of your article. I refer to this as the triangle check list for submitting an article. You have to make sure that the section the article is in relates to the title, the title relates to the content, and the content relates back to the section. Never should a visitor to the website be confused or feel as though your article is out of place with the rest.

If you are using forums - make sure you find the forums closest related to the niche of the product. This means you have to narrow down the fields a bit. Lets say your category is health and fitness and your product is a yoga video. Chances are you are not going to go to a body building forum to promote the product. The audience for the forums and the target audience for the product, although in the same category, do not quite match up.

So make sure that before you start any affiliate marketing campaign that you keep these three tips in mind. If you market the right way, you will see results instead of being left with the frustrations of wasted effort. Good luck, and keep checking back for more affiliate marketing tips to come.

Getting traffic to your website is not where the work ends. Learn how to make money from your traffic by monetizing your website.

Running an E-commerce website is difficult work. The work doesn’t simply stop at getting traffic to the website. You must find out how to get the traffic you desire (which is a task in itself), then you must find out how to make money off the traffic your website recieves. The problem many webmasters face is that they have an interesting website that they put a lot of time, effort, and money into - but they steadily lose money just trying to maintain the website. If you have a popular or helpful website that others make use of - you deserve to be paid for your efforts. I will tell you how.

We all know that without any customers, there is no business. If you had a store and no one walked into the store - you wouldn’t make any sales. Similarly, in the online world your customers are known as ‘traffic’. Your website traffic is composed of all the people that come and view your website. The more people that get a chance to look at your website - the more potential customers you will have. Its as simple as that.

Every e-commerce website expects a profit. Maintaining a website is not cheap, and a lot of the time it takes a while to simply regain your start up costs. If you maintain consistent, targetted traffic - then you can rest easy knowing that you will have revenue when the site is properly monetized.

How do you monetize traffic?

The most popular way to monetize the traffic your website gets is by putting up advertisements. People search for millions and millions of different things every day. Chances are that someone is searching for a product or service dealing with the topic of your website right now. If you are getting traffic from the people searching for this information, chances are that advertisers are willing to pay you to market on your website.

However, getting the traffic that will generate good revenue from advertisements will not be easy. With each day, there will be an increasing number of competitors you will have to compete with for traffic. But if you are able to make it to the first page of the search engines for search terms that are frequently searched - you have a good chance at making money.

The most common way of doing this is through Google adsense. Adsense allows website owners to insall a code to their website that will generate advertisements based on what is on the web page. When a visitor to this web page clicks on the ad - the website owner will be payed a small referal fee. There are many other websites besides Google that offer this type of pay per click advertising as well. Do a search to see which you believe will work best for your industry.

Affiliate Marketing

Another good way to monetize your traffic is through affiliate marketing. Companies like ClickBank will allow you to join their website and browse through companies that are offering affiliate programs. All you have to do is view the industry that you are in and pick out a product or service that you like. ClickBank will give you a personal link with your affiliate ID in it, then all you have to do is promote that link. Whenever someone clicks on the link, you will recieve commission from whatever the customer buys on the company’s website.

What makes affiliate marketing great is that you don’t have to deal with selling or delivering. All you do is refer the customer to another page and they will close the sale and pay you your commission. You may even search through the affiliate network directory to find which websites offer the highest payout.

Keep checking back for updates as I outline the best and easiest ways to monetize your website.

Want traffic but have no money? Getting visitors to your website doesn't have to cost you anything! If only you knew how...

There are plenty of ways to start getting traffic immidiately, however, these are not always the most affordable options. When you first put in your time and money into creating a site, sometimes you’re not left with much to promote it with. Worry not! You don’t have to spend a dime - all you need is patience and dedication. If you follow the correct methods you should start to see results in your traffic soon.

Search for relevant online forums and make use of them. No matter what niche you’re in - chances are there is an online community established. This is an excellent way to not only get more information on your niche - but to network with a base of potential customers. The great part about it is that you can get multiple different opinions and views from different people affiliated with the same industry. This will greatly help you develop how to reach your target audience.

Remember that with each post on the forums that you are representing your company (even if your ‘company’ is just yourself). Show the community that you have a wealth of knowledge to add. Help new members on the forums and members that have questions you can answer. Add usefull information to discussions.

Another great idea is providing a newsletter - provide subscribers with useful or interesting articles and products. If its entertaining enough, you will get word of mouth referral and not only will your subscribers be more likely to purchase your products but they will tell others about your newsletter. The more subscribers you have, the more regular traffic you will be getting.

Exchanging links can also help provide traffic to your website. Find websites that offer products or services relevant to your industry, contact the webmasters of these sites and request to exchange links with them. Google values the links from websites that deal with the subject that that they are linking to. This also means that you will not only get benefits for SEO purposes, but you might also recieve direct traffic.

Article marketing has become a tried and true strategy. Do some research about your topic, and then provide some tips as you see fit. Try to see what people want to know most - and then explain it in depth with a good article. Article sites such as Ezine Articles will bring in pretty good traffic if you choose your keywords wisely.

Write informative and enticing content. Make sure you’re engaging the reader and they are immersed in your product or service through your words. Provide as much detail as possible and make sure you explain all the benefits as well as the quality. If you have any testimonials to back your company, they are always good to include.

All of these methods can be implemented for absolutely free. All you need is a little time and with repetition things will become easier and your marketing will become better. Keep checking for updates to read about each of these methods explained in detail.

opt in list

subject writing

Simply getting subscriptions to your opt in list does not guarantee that your readers will open your emails. Learn how to make your subjects entice readers into reading your messages.

As the marketing on the internet becomes more and more competitive it becomes increasingly hard to get good traffic to your website to boost subscriptions to your opt in list. There are many ways to achieve this traffic without having to spend loads of money. With just simple tweaks to your marketing methods, you can drive a comfortable amount of traffic to your website that will help you gain members for your opt in list.

An opt in list allows you to send out a news letters and mass mailings to your subscribers. When people sign up, they are aware that they will get updates and news from your website and the related industry you through e-mail. However, this doesn’t mean that all of your subscribers will read every message. Many opt in lists get build around the promotion of a free software program or book that the customer will recieve after signing up. Some people are not interested in recieving company promotions and usually delete the messages when they recognize them in their inbox.

There are ways to change this. While sending out an email to your subscribers after you have built a list is relatively easy - getting them to read this email is an entirely different sotry. You are going to have to grab the attention of the customer and keep them interested in order not to let all the work you put into building your list go to waste.

The number one way to catch the subscribers attention and entice them into opening the email is by putting a lot of though and effort into your subject line. The subject line is the first thing anyone opening their email will look at to decide if the message will be worth their time. The subject could easily be regarded as one of the most important aspects of your newsletter.

Good subjects are concise and to the point. The challenge of writing a good subject is finding out how to summarize your whole message into a few words. However, if you don’t chose your words wisely - your message ultimately will not matter because it will not get read. You want your subject to instantly grab the attention of your subscriber and get them to be intrigued to open up your mail. Keep in mind that just because you have 1,000 subscribers on your list, doesn’t mean that you are going to get 1,000 readers to every email you send out. You have to WORK for those views.

A well written subject will play to the reader’s curiosity until they are literally forced to open the message. A certain emotion must be ignited and get them to open the mail. Play around with your wording to see which words are most effective at achieving the emotion you want to convey. Remember, the reader will only be looking at the subjects word a few seconds max. You must grab your reader’s attention right away.

Your subject can be in many different formats. One method is a “tips/techniques” email. These emails often get opened because the reader knows they are going to get some great free information. Everyone likes to learn new things - so more than likely a reader will take a few seconds to see what you have to say about the topic.

Subjects that ask questions are also effective. Examples of subjects that include questions are “Sick of Your Boss?” and “Wnat to Work For Yourself?” Try to stay on the topic that your readers have subcribed to hear about. Questions as subject titles are effective because they reach out to each reader personally. When they have read the question in your subject, they start to anwer it in their minds. If the question is good enough - they will then click to open the message.

Another good type of email subject is a subject with a “call to action”. Action statements such as “Act Now!”, or “Get What You Deserve!” will pull at the readers emotions. Call to action titles are a rallying cry, you want the reader to feel as if they are missing out on something - then tell them how they can become apart of it inside the message.

Unique and informative content is the most important factor in driving traffic and marketing a website. Find out how to make sure your articles are as creative as possible.

What is your goal when writing an article? Are your articles often keyword-spammy, un-inspiring and un-informative? The first thing any writer needs to keep in mind in the process of creating an article is the audience its meant for. What information are they going to expect when the click on your article title? Will your title deliver what it states it will? Is your writing style stiff or laid back? Typically, articles that have the most success connect with the audience on more than just an info-distributor manner. Good writers can not only make the reader feel as if they are informed, but also as if the writer has interest in what he is writing about. The key is connecting with the audinence.

Try to get creative when writing your articles. Make interesting comparisons to what you are talking about and things that are more common are popular at the moment. Make sure what you write is unique and is of good quality. Without either of these factors - your article is set up for failure before you even begin.

So what happens when you have your topic but you are drawing a blank? Don’t worry, writers block happens to the best of us. The important thing about it is that you should never FORCE and article. Its better to take your time developing quality content that people will want to read and share with others, than spending little to no time on a useless jumble of words that will leave the potential customer frustrated that they even clicked on it. Read on to find 3 creative writing tips that will help you get started with your articles.

1) Keep a notepad that you jot down all your ideas on. Inspiration can strike at any time of the day - you must be ready for it. Write down all of your favorite quotes, jokes, interesting news, etc. This is GREAT information that you can plug into articles where appropriate to make them more interesting. Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it’s the development of the idea that makes it unique.

2) Take your time and do your research. A jumbled mind cannot create any space for new ideas. Its ok if you do not know everything there is to know about what you’re writing the article on. This is what the internet is for, there are many resources available online to educate yourself enough to give good information on just about any industry - you just have to take the time to find it.

Try to relax and stay focused when you are working on your articles. Your mind set should be “Lets see how great I can make this article!” rather than “I guess I have to go write this article now…” Your attitude is what shapes your mindset and your opinions which will be apparent to anyone reading your work. You want the reader to feel that you are passionate about what you are writing about. If they don’t feel YOU are interested in what you are talking about, why should they be?

3) Stay organized! Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness. Make sure that your desk is free from clutter and other things that may cause a distraction. Creativity comes from being in a good state of mind and a messy work space could keep your mind from focusing on the task at hand. If you feel good about your surroundings - it will stimulate creativity.

Surround your working space with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. Put up pictures of loved ones, bible verses, inspirational messages, etc. Anything that will occasionally make you smile or motivate you are great things to place around your desk. A well designed work space can make you forget that what you are doing is actually work and the time will simply fly by.

These days - just about anybody is able to own a website. Anybody can attempt to seel their service or product through this website. Anyone can attempt to market and promote their website without spending immense amounts of honey, however this someone might not always get the traffic they want out of it. There are not many web sites that have truly successful web site with traffic all day through. You need not worry though, if you are low on cash there are many cheap web site promotion techiniques you can employ with little cost. I will outline the methods most frequently used by online marketers to promot their businesses for cheap, then in further articles I will explain each method in depth. Lets get started!

Cheap web site promotion starts with SEO. The first thing you are going to want to do with your new site is to let people know you exsist. You can do this by submitting your site to search engines. Once you are indexed in search engines you will be able to show up in results pages in user searches. Other places to submit your website to are web directories. Web directories allow you to post your website in relation to what category or industry you are in. After this, you start with on and off - site SEO techniques such as optimizing your content and establishing links.

What makes SEO a good cheap web site promotion idea is that it will not cost you anything. Most search engines allow you to submit your website for free. When designing your website make sure that you are keeping in mind that you have to make the website easy to read for search engine spiders. Search engines send out search engine spiders to crawl pages and return information on what they find. Then this information is indexed into their search engine using a number of different factors. For each different search engine, there are different methods that work better than others.

Another good cheap web site promotion plan is article marketing. Article marketing has become extremely popular over the past year. Article marketing refers to when you create an informative article on a chosen industry to be submitted to article directories. This goes back to the general concept of an opt in list, you have to establish that you are informed in the field. Once people see you are informed in your field - they will want to get more information. They can get this information at your web site.

The benefit of article marketing is that again - it costs no money. This makes it a great option for cheap web site promotion. If you have a flair for writing, you will really enjoy doing it and this will show in your writing. You want to make your articles not only informative, but interesting. Use plently of real-worl examples and make sure you do your research before writing each and every article.

Marketing anything online is always about give and take. Internet users are first and foremost information shoppers. Think of the world wide web as a shopping mall. Customers will glance at different web pages much like customers glance at different stores while walking through a mall. Think of your website as your store front. How are you going to entice the customer into picking you? What can you offer them?

Its these questions you have to keep in mind when using cheap web site promotion tactics - make sure you are always providing quality.

Maximize your online marketing success. Learn how to build a quality opt in list that will generate profitable leads.

As many online marketers will tell you, a good opt in list is one of the best marketing weapons you can have in your arsenal. Many businesses rely solely on their email lists to generate leads for sales. However, you must keep in mind that there is different QUALITY of email lists. Quality opt in lists will essentially be composed of a higher percentage of customers who are interested in what you are marketing, thus more likely to purchase or take a recommendation from you.

So what are the steps in developing quality opt in lists? For those who are starting, here are three quick and easy ways to build a profitable opt-in list.

1) First, you must make sure that you and your products gain the customer’s trust. Just launching your opt-in list will not make you an expert and a believable seller. Before you start your opt in list, write many articles. Get to research your area and make sure you actually ARE an expert in the field. Forums are a great source of information for gaining information about your audience.

Join forums from other sites as well. Post at those forums and give people good advice. Become a trusted member of the community. Once you gain enough credibility, you will be able to start your own opt in list. A good way to start is by getting forum members to sign up, since you have provided them good information in the past. Post a link to your site so they can get more information about your business.

The truth is, the money will only come in when the subscribers believe and trust in you. They want to know that their time and money will be spent valuably. Be personable. Get to know your subscribers and find out what they want to know – then provide it.

2) Find a product or service that people are in need of. Again – this starts with research. You have to see what’s in demand. What are people searching for? People are more likely to subscribe to an opt in list if they urgently need the information. If your information is good – they will want more of it. It’s as simple as that.

While it’s true that it’s best to sell something that you have interest in, a lot of the time what you are interested in may not always be what is popular at the time. This is why you have to find a niche that has a good consumer base. More consumers = more names for your opt in list.

3) Make friends with other opt in list users. This is very beneficial, especially if it is someone who has already launched a successful opt-in list. You can network with these individuals to find out what they did right or wrong, and how you may be able to mirror their success. While there are many articles available for you on the internet to use, there is nothing like getting a firsthand account from someone you trust.

Now, you shouldn’t expect your opt in list to gain hundreds of names over night. There is much preparation and efforts involved in creating a quality opt in list. Keep it organized and manageable. If it gets out of control, remember you can always have a virtual assistant build and take care of your list for you. Good luck!

Do you have a great website but no visitors yet? The greatest challenge for those with an online business is driving traffic to their page. Find out how to use Google Adwords to drive targetted traffic to your web page that will convert to sales.

Generating any amount of wealth starts with the same basic step for all internet marketers - generating traffic. Everybody knows it; every site wants it and every site needs it. Websites must be visited and viewed in order for them to be useful. You can spend money, countless hours, use amazing designs, and have perfect code - but if no one sees it, whats the point? This is why every web marketer needs to know how to drive targetted traffic to their website.

The more traffic you recieve, the more potential customers you wrill bring in, which will lead to more potential sales. While many sites have collapsed in the past with the downturn of many internet based business, many smaller sites have generated good money by concentrating on a certain niche and some subniches.

This is why as an online marketer you must make sure that the people that are coming to your website are interested in your services - this is known as targetted traffic. Driving in targetted traffic is essential so that you can count on all the traffic to your site as potential customers.

Use money to make money?

It’s a common business notion that if you want to make money, you have to spend money. The best way to spend money to make moeny is through effective advertising. Advertising brings in the people because through advertising, they know that there is such a company or product in existence. The more effective your advertising is, the more traffic you will bring into the site. With a high volume of traffic, even if only a small portion or percentage turns out to be buying customers it is still a good average of profit generating income.

One of the best online advertising methods is Google Adwords. The surge in popularity of Google’s Adwords is due to the fact that it is simple to use and highly effective.

In using Google’s Adwords, you pay a certain fee depending on the number of keywords your ad campaign contains and how competitive the keyword is. Each time a person does a search in Google the keywords you have purchase will be displayed in a sponsored ad on the side of google each time someone does a search for your term.

This method laser targets the traffic a site wants for their audience. Also, this lets you know exactly what position you will be in the search rankings every time.

Aside from Google, you can also be featured in their other search networks, these includes sites like: Aol Serach, AskJeeves and Netscape. Your advertisements will be run through these site’s adwords programs as well. There are also content networks, and non-search engine sites that feature Google Adwords, which will display your ads. But this is subjected to the niche the site features. Your ad will be displayed in a proper category based on your keywords. The frequency of your ad shall also be determined by your allowed budget.

Laser Targeting your Traffic

To get a higher conversion rate (the percentage of visitors that transfer to sales), you have to make sure your traffic is made up of those interested in your product or services - these are your potential customers. Google Adwords allows you to track the statistics on which ads (and keywords) are generating the most clicks. This will show you how effective your ad campaign is and help you target the correct audience.

Using keywords with good search volume that pertain to your company will help you drive in traffic. To make this process easier, there are online product such as Keyword Elite. Keyword elite allows you to quickly and easily research the keywords that will bring you the most traffic with at the least cost and competition. This will let you make sure that your Google Adwords campaign has the right keywords to drive laser targeted traffic to your site.

Using Google Adwords many online businesses have achieved marketing success. The key is to keep your costs low and go after words with less competition. Going after several words will less competition is better and going after only one word with a lot of competiton. This is related to a theory known as “Long-tail keywords”. Long-tail keywords will be discussed in an update soon.
