What is your goal when writing an article? Are your articles often keyword-spammy, un-inspiring and un-informative? The first thing any writer needs to keep in mind in the process of creating an article is the audience its meant for. What information are they going to expect when the click on your article title? Will your title deliver what it states it will? Is your writing style stiff or laid back? Typically, articles that have the most success connect with the audience on more than just an info-distributor manner. Good writers can not only make the reader feel as if they are informed, but also as if the writer has interest in what he is writing about. The key is connecting with the audinence.
Try to get creative when writing your articles. Make interesting comparisons to what you are talking about and things that are more common are popular at the moment. Make sure what you write is unique and is of good quality. Without either of these factors - your article is set up for failure before you even begin.
So what happens when you have your topic but you are drawing a blank? Don’t worry, writers block happens to the best of us. The important thing about it is that you should never FORCE and article. Its better to take your time developing quality content that people will want to read and share with others, than spending little to no time on a useless jumble of words that will leave the potential customer frustrated that they even clicked on it. Read on to find 3 creative writing tips that will help you get started with your articles.
1) Keep a notepad that you jot down all your ideas on. Inspiration can strike at any time of the day - you must be ready for it. Write down all of your favorite quotes, jokes, interesting news, etc. This is GREAT information that you can plug into articles where appropriate to make them more interesting. Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it’s the development of the idea that makes it unique.
2) Take your time and do your research. A jumbled mind cannot create any space for new ideas. Its ok if you do not know everything there is to know about what you’re writing the article on. This is what the internet is for, there are many resources available online to educate yourself enough to give good information on just about any industry - you just have to take the time to find it.
Try to relax and stay focused when you are working on your articles. Your mind set should be “Lets see how great I can make this article!” rather than “I guess I have to go write this article now…” Your attitude is what shapes your mindset and your opinions which will be apparent to anyone reading your work. You want the reader to feel that you are passionate about what you are writing about. If they don’t feel YOU are interested in what you are talking about, why should they be?
3) Stay organized! Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness. Make sure that your desk is free from clutter and other things that may cause a distraction. Creativity comes from being in a good state of mind and a messy work space could keep your mind from focusing on the task at hand. If you feel good about your surroundings - it will stimulate creativity.
Surround your working space with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. Put up pictures of loved ones, bible verses, inspirational messages, etc. Anything that will occasionally make you smile or motivate you are great things to place around your desk. A well designed work space can make you forget that what you are doing is actually work and the time will simply fly by.
